Before Your Appointment:

Seven days before your appointment, you will get an email from the EBJC with a survey. Please fill out this survey before your appointment.

At Your Appointment:

If you did not have the chance to complete your survey before your appointment, please arrive 20 minutes early. You will be given a tablet to confirm your personal information and fill out the survey. Once you are done, please return the tablet to the front desk.

At Your Appointment: Presentation

The first part of your RAC appointment is a presentation. We will cover various topics about your joint, how your joint is changing, exercises, walking poles and canes, surgery (risks and benefits) and next steps.

At Your Appointment: Personal Screening

After the presentation, you will be seen by one of our expert assessors. You will also talk to a nurse about any other health concerns. The team will come up with a care plan for you. This may include exercise, injections, weight loss, smoking cessation, or walking aids. If needed, you will be referred on to a surgeon.

You will be sent home with a letter detailing the care plan decided on by you and the team. The doctor that sent referred you to us will also be sent a copy of this letter.

After your appointment

Three days after your appointment, you will get a follow-up email with a survey asking you about your appointment experience.
