Appointments
The Edmonton Bone and Joint Centre is responsible for seeing all foot and ankle patients in the Edmonton region. As such, once your referral is accepted, you will see an assessment physician who will determine the type of care you may need. This may include further tests, injections, physical therapy or a referral to see an orthopaedic surgeon.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, some assessment physicians are doing telephone appointments. For more information on how to prepare for your virtual appointment, please see our ‘Guide to Virtual Appointments’.

You can have these X-rays done at ANY X-ray clinic in Alberta. We will be able to view them on the computer once they have been taken. MRIs are NOT a substitute for X-rays.

Please allow ample time for your appointment. Our assessment physicians work hard to stay on schedule, however, surgical patients sometimes require extra time.
If you have questions regarding your assessment appointment, please contact our Foot and Ankle Medical Office Assistant at (780) 377-1436.
